Bruno Baraldi
Bruno Baraldi aka Takii is a visual artist living in Brazil in a small town near São Paulo called Taubaté. His work is often described as nostalgic surrealism. In this, he likes to combine wild images from outer space, cityscapes, the female form, 1950s domestic life, nature and more in his retro/vintage aesthetic art. In particular, he does everything he can to make something new look older.
He gets his inspiration from everyday life. There is always a story, a situation, a feeling, something he wants to express. Sometimes he also designs things that are just cool to look at, without a big meaning behind it. The only thing he does with each of his works is to apply a Photoshop action that he created at the end of each work! In all of his work, it’s important to him that people feel something about his art – feel all kinds of things. In addition, he enjoys having conversations with people through his paintings.
