Silvan Widmer is an outdoor photographer from eastern Switzerland and was born and raised in Toggenburg, surrounded by mountains. Accordingly, he knows every corner of Alpstein and Churfirsten. When he’s not out and about in the mountains, the trained media technician works in his own advertising agency, Nordwand AG.

The Wattwil native has been involved in photography since he completed his apprenticeship in 2011. Silvan naturally gets his inspiration in the mountains, because he loves hiking in his homeland. So Silvan spends almost every hour of his free time in the beautiful mountains, equipped with his camera to capture the best light for the perfect photo. He always tries to find the perfect angle so that each picture has its own beauty. This is his speciality, his way of taking pictures. This is also how the beautiful “Forest” images for our Artist series were created.
