We will cover the increase in VAT for you! However, we will adjust the shipping costs.

Increase in value added tax

Since the AHV reform was adopted in September 2022, the Federal Council has decided on various measures to eliminate the deficit in the Swiss pension system. This is why VAT rates will be increased on 1 January 2024. The normal tax rate will increase to 8.1% (previously 7.7%), the reduced rate to 2.6% (previously 2.5%) and the special rate for accommodation to 3.8% (previously 3.7%).

This will make many Swiss products and services more expensive – but not for us! We will cover the increase in VAT for you. Accordingly, the prices for our products will remain the same.

Shipping Costs

Swiss Post and the price watchdog have agreed on an increase in letter and parcel prices. From 1 January 2024, an economy parcel weighing up to 2 kg will now cost CHF 8.50 (previously CHF 7.-). In addition, a small quantity surcharge of CHF 9.- will be levied for small orders. As climate protection is important to us, we remain loyal to our partner, Swiss Post. This is because all orders are delivered to your home with «pro clima» shipping and are therefore CO₂-compensated. Swiss Post is also taking targeted measures and using new technologies to reduce CO₂ emissions. Thanks to climate-neutral delivery, it saves around 8,200 tonnes of CO₂ every year. This corresponds to 4,100 flights for one person from Zurich to New York and back.

Due to the increase in letter and parcel prices, we also have to adjust our shipping costs. From 1 January 2024, orders of CHF 100.- or more will be sent free of charge; below this amount, we will charge a flat-rate shipping fee of CHF 10.- (previously CHF 7.-).
